But prayer in Islam is more than just an individual spiritual experience. It is mean to be performed in a congregation - the foundation of a Muslim society as a whole.

To approach the stories of kings and potentates, as well as the movements and vicissitudes of tribes, nations, and masses from a proper historical perspective seems to be an unattainable objective.
